Deciding on if a Show Pig project is for you.

Idaho Show Pigs  Is excited this time of year to be able to
go to the County Shows and see what the Judges are looking for in Show Pigs in Idaho this year.  This helps us at Idaho Show Pigs to know what and how we should be breeding to give you the best chance to have fun and possibly to well with your Show Pig project.
If your thinking about getting into this great hobby of Show Pigs this time of year is the best time to start.
Find out when your County Fair is this year before it is to late and see what day the Show Pigs are Judged.
Also find out what time these Show Pigs will be judged.
If the Show is at 8:30 am then we would advise you to get there about 6:30 or 7:00 at the latest and watch how and what goes on to prepare the Show Pigs to be shown.  You will see kids and their parents arrive about 2 hours early and watch them wash their Show Pigs. Watch what they use to wash with , what products they use , do they use a brush or a sponge?  Some Show Pigs you use a sponge or rag others you can use a brush why?? 
Make a game of it while the Show Pigs are being judged. Pick your two Best Show Pigs and why you picked them and then see what the judge picks as the best Show Pigs and why he picked the Show Pigs that he did.
Plan on being there till noon.   Have Fun !!It is a great hobby to get into raising these Show Pigs .
